David Warner (104 runs) scored his 6th century of the WC, equalling the record of Sachin Tendulkar. He was looking solid from the start of the innings. In his knock he hit 11 fours and 3 sixes. Steve Smith (71 runs) scored his first half century in this tournament. Marnus Labuschagne (62 runs) scored his first half century in the WC.
Then the explosive knock of Glenn Maxwell (106 runs) came. He scored the fastest century in the WC which is 40 balls breaking the record of Aiden Markram which came in this tournament only. He hit 9 fours and 8 sixes in his innings. Due to his destructive knock Aussies posted 399 runs in 50 overs by losing 8 wickets.
Logan van Beek claimed the most number of wickets for his team in this match which is 4 wickets. Bas de Leede got 2 wickets but had an expensive spell of 115 runs in 10 overs. He created a record of the most expensive spell in the WC beating the earlier record of Rashid Khan (0/110) against England in 2019. Aryan Dutt got 1 wicket.
The Netherlands were not looking in the contest during the chase. They lost wickets at regular intervals. Vikramjit Singh (25 runs) was the highest scorer from the side. They lost the pace of scoring and scored just 90 runs in 21 overs and lost all their wickets.
Adam Zampa took a hattrick of 4 wickets in the tournament after claiming here. Mitchell Marsh took 2 wickets. Pat Cummins, Mitchell Starc and Josh Hazelwood got 1 wicket each.
