Afghanistan announced their 17 member squad for the 2023 Asia Cup.
Hashmatullah Shahidi will be leading the team. One of the highlighted inclusion was Karim Janat who will be seen in the team after 6 years. He was last seen in 2017.
Most of the players who will play the tournament were playing against the Pakistan series just a few days back. Only Fareed Ahmad, Azmatullah Omarzai, Shahidullah Kamal and Wafadar Momand were left out. Omarzai was injured during the series against Pakistan and ruled out at that moment only.
Afghan most experienced spinning trio of Rashid Khan, Noor Ahmad and Mujeeb ur Rahman will be the main focus for the team’s win.
