Asia Cup (AC) is having just less than a week left and two Sri Lankan players tested Covid positive. Kusal Perera and Avishka Fernando again diagnosed with covid.
This emergence of Covid-19 again might be little in doubt to have the tournament in Sri Lanka. Kusal Perera firstly gets tested positive during the series against South Africa while Fernando was also tested positive in last year against the Zimbabwe series.
Not only this, some Indian Players also got diagnosed with the virus when they visited Sri Lanka in 2021. Almost 6-7 players in the Indian squad were having the virus during the series.
Sri Lanka will play their 1st match in the Asia Cup against Bangladesh on 31st August 2023. They will host 9 matches including the Final. The Remaining 4 matches will be played in Pakistan.
